- How is your tour going?
H: It’s going fine! This is our first time in Europe, for all of us. Just visiting as well is our first time. The first concert was held in Rotterdam,in the Netherlands, and the second concert was held in Bucarest, Romania. The first two concerts actually went really well, they both were very successful and our fans loved it, and it’s like a dream come true having concerts in Europe. So we’re very happy about coming to Europe, we hope we can be back again and hopefully our fans from Italy and Germany will enjoy the rest of the concerts as well.
- Do you have any favorite italian food?
K: Pizza! Carbonara!
Y: Pasta
(Togheter?)
H: Yeah together! A few days ago we had a margherita pizza, and spaghetti carbonara together with chicken and some steak, and it was good!
(You ate all of it?)
LedApple: Yeah! Why?
(In Italy you usually just order one of those dishes for yourself, and that’s it)
H: It’s the same in Korea, but in LedApple it’s not like that. Pizza, spaghetti, steak, cola, and an ice-cream.
- If you get some free time in Milan, what would you like to do?
K: Shopping and watching football!
Y: I would like to see a football game too.
G: Eat!
H: Actually I want to see the Colosseum! I used to study Latin in high school, and I read a lot about the latin culture and about Italy as well. Today we went to one of the cathedrals here in Milan, and I saw Latin for the first time in my life!
(Really? For the first time in your life? Around Italy it’s everywhere, actually most italians don’t even speak it or understand it, but here it’s everywhere!)
H: Yeah! It was interesting!

H: No…I understood maybe 10%

- In December you had your comeback in Japan, with your single Greatest World. Was it difficult for you to start singing again in Japanese? Is there any of you that can speak it fluently?
H: Because we had Japanese lessons and we learnt how to read it and how to pronounce the words, it’s not that hard recording for us. So singing in Japanese is actually easier than actually speaking it. For the second part of the question, we all speak a little bit of Japanese, to get on with life in Japan, but Gwangyeon speaks almost fluent Japanese.
- In terms of music, is there a particular sound that you haven’t tried yet, that you’d like to challenge in the future?
K: Hip Hop.
H: A collaboration with an hiphop artist would be pretty good as well!
Y: Blues
G: Electrot
H: I would like to try EDM! It’s very popular right now in Europe.
(It’s very popular in Europe and America, especially in the Las Vegas area)
H: That’s right! I want to have a collaboration with a really famous artist, like Daft Punk, David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, DJ Tiesto.
Hyo: I like Samba!
- What song each of you likes the best from all of your singles so far?
K: Time’s up
Y: For me too it’s Time’s up.
G: Time’s up.
Hyo: Time’s up.
H: Our new single, that will be released in Europe. I like that one!

H: No, you can’t know anything.
- The project “Music Note”, received a lot of attention from your fans, how and from who it all started?
H: I had an hobby of watching covers on Youtube, and so I thought that we could’ve done some too, to let us be known to a wider audience in different parts of the world. I talked about it with our manager and the project started! It received a lot of love and we’re really happy about it!
- What genre do you like? Do you have an artist that you like in particular?
G: Muse
K: Eminem!
H: I mentioned most of them before. I’d like to work with a lot of European artists….hmmm…PSY!
- From the ones you have done, which cover is your favorite?
G: Kiss You - One direction
Y: Gentleman - Psy
Hyo: Royals - Lorde
K: Talking to the moon - Bruno Mars
G: When I was your man - Bruno Mars
H: The funniest one that we made and we had a lot of fun with was um…I thought “Thrift Shop” was pretty good. I liked “Blurred Lines” as well. But Psy’s Gentleman, ended up being really good, but while we were filming for that cover it was really cold, and we filmed for around 10 hours, I think. It was really long compared to other covers.
(Was it hard to rearrange the chords and everything else to adapt the song?)
H: Yunjun and the rest of the members do most of the rearranging so..
Y: It was easy.

- You covered a lot of famous songs, would you like to collaborate with any of the original singers of those songs?
G: PSY! I love Psy!

- This may sound a little bit weird, but do your instruments have a nickname?
G: Bass.
Hyo: Yes, drums.
Y: Only electric guitar, acoustic guitar…
K: My voice? Cutie. Sorry, just joking.
H: Ummmm…Mr. Johnson.
- What were your dreams when you were younger? If you didn’t become members of LedApple, what would you be doing right now?
Hyo: My dream was to become a comedian. If I didn’t become a member of LedApple, I would be dancing in clubs.
G: Maybe…a pro-gamer. I love games!
H: My dream was to become a pilot.
G: Dentist.
H: That wasn’t my dream, it was my mother and my father’s dream.
Y: A pilot? Liar!
H: I’m serious!
K/Y: He’s a liar!
H: If I didn’t become a member of LedApple, I would probably be a dentist.
Hyo: You would be dancing in clubs.
H: Shhh…maybe!
Y: My dream has always been to become a professional guitarist, so if I didn’t become a part of LedApple I would be helping my dad with the family business.
K: My childhood dream, was to become a singer, so if that didn’t happen, I would be serving in the Korean Army.
- Is there an artist that you look up to and take as your role model?
Hyo: Yoshiki, batterista degli XJapan.
G: Muse’s Chris.
Y: My dream was to be a world rockstar, so all rockstars are my role models.
K: Boyz II Men’s Wanya Morris.
H: For me…Michael Jackson.
- If you weren’t a LedApple’s member, who would be your favorite?
K: Hanbyul

H: YEAH!! I’m popular with the boys!
G: Hanbyul.

Hyo: I don’t like you. Don’t misunderstand.
H: If I were a girl, I would probably like Gwangyeon for his appearance, and to me he has a different personality.
Y: But he’s not funny.
- How is like living together and spending so much time together? Do you fight a lot or you get perfectly along?
G: Of course.
(Of course what?)
Hyo: Of course we fight everyday.
G: No! Never!
Hyo: Joking, joking.
K: Even if we fight, the next day we are fine again.
H: Even if we spend so much time together, we don’t fight a lot. We get along. I don’t think there are any problems in our group.
- Was there any funny episode on any of your music video’s sets that you’d like to share with us?
H: Yesterday we were filming for our music video and for a lot of things, like we had a photoshoot as well. We all have red hair and we stand out so much, a lot of people came to us and asked for photos with us or to take a photo and we said ok. But we were so busy yesterday and short of time, that we had to say sorry to everyone. That’s usually the case, but when Yunjun was doing his solo photoshoot, a man came up to him and tapped his shoulder to get his attention. Yunjun kept saying: “Sorry, sorry. No photos, sorry”. The man kept on trying to get his attention, and then he said: “Can you take a photo of us?”. Obviously referring to the group he was with. So he ended up taking a photo for them!
- Do you have any project planned for the future?
H: Well…we want to finish our World tour, and European concerts without any hassle and everything has to be a success. And then, in March we’re going to release a title Korea, and the song’s name is going to be “Who Are You?”. That’s what we’re planning, I don’t know if it might change or not. Then we’re planning a promotion in Japan for the Japanese version of the same song. In July hopefully, we’re planning to release a European single, The songwriter and the producer are actually European, and they’re very well known in the Netherlands. They’re Dutch producers. Hopefully that will become a success as well, we’re really looking forward to the European release. The song’s name is “My baby”.
- Come sta andando il vostro tour?
H: Il nostro tour sta andando bene! Questa è la nostra prima volta in Europa, anche solo come turisti. Il primo concerto si è tenuto a Rotterdam, in Olanda, mentre il secondo concerto a Bucarest, in Romania. I primi due concerti sono andati molto bene! Sono stati entrambi dei successi e sono piaciuti molto ai nostri fans. E’ come vedere un sogno realizzarsi, tenendo dei concerti in Europa. Siamo molto felici di essere venuti in Europa, speriamo di poterci tornare di nuovo, e che i nostri fan in Germania e qui in Italia possano godersi i concerti.
- Avete qualche cibo italiano preferito?
K: Pizza!Carbonara!
Y: Pasta!

H: Si insieme!Qualche giorno fa abbiamo mangiato una pizza margherita, degli spaghetti alla carbonara con un po’ di pollo ed una bistecca. Era davvero ottimo.
(Avete mangiato tutta quella roba?)
LedA: Si!

K: Perché no?
(In Italia di solito si ordina un solo piatto, non pizza, pasta, carne tutto insieme)
H: Oh! Anche in corea è così! ma non nei Ledapple! Pizza, spaghetti, carne, una coca cola e un gelato.
- Se avrete un po’ di tempo libero a milano, come vi piacerebbe passarlo?
K: Vorrei fare shopping e guardare una partita di calcio!
Y: Anche io guarderei una partita di calcio.
G: Mangiare.
H: In realtà vorrei andare al Colosseo! Studiavo il latino al liceo, quindi ho letto molto sulla cultura latina e sull’Italia. Oggi per la prima volta in tutta la mia vita, ho visto una scritta in latino in una cattedrale.
(Davvero? Beh in Italia il latino è ovunque, anche se quasi tutti gli italiani non ne sanno nemmeno una parola.)
H: Capisco! E’ stato interessante!

- A dicembre avete fatto il vostro comeback in Giappone, con il singolo Greatest World. E’ stato difficile per voi riprendere a cantare in giapponese, e c’è qualcuno di voi che lo parla particolarmente bene?
H: Siccome abbiamo imparato come leggerlo e la pronuncia, non è difficile cantare in giapponese, in realtà è più semplice cantare in giapponese che parlare in giapponese. Per quanto riguarda la seconda parte della domanda, parliamo tutti un po’ di giapponese, quanto basta per la vita di tutti i giorni in Giappone, ma Gwayeon parla quasi perfettamente giapponese.
- C’è qualche sound particolare che vi piacerebbe sperimentare in un prossimo album?
K: HipHop
H: Una collaborazione con un artista HipHop sarebbe anche interessante.
Y: Blues
G: Electrot
H: Mi piacerebbe cimentarmi nell’EDM! E’ molto famosa in Europa

- Il progetto Music Note ha ricevuto molta attenzione dai fan, da chi e come è nato questo progetto?
H: Guardo spesso cover su youtube, e così ho pensato che avremmo potuto farne anche noi, per farci conoscere in diverse parti del mondo. Ne ho parlato con il nostro manager, e il progetto è iniziato! Ha ricevuto un grande successo e ne siamo molto felici!

H: Quella che è stata molto divertente da girare e registrare è Thrift Shop! E anche Blurred Lines è stata molto divertente. Ma Gentleman si è rivelata un’impresa! Mentre giravamo il video faceva molto freddo e siamo rimasti fuori per all’incirca 10 ore.
(E’ stato difficile ri-arrangiare la canzone?)
H: Di solito se ne occupano Yunjun e gli altri membri si occupano maggiormente di questo quindi…

H: Se fossi una donna, probabilmente mi piacerebbe Gwangyeon, per via del suo aspetto, e ha un carattere diverso.

- Com’è vivere insieme? Andate perfettamente d’accordo o litigate spesso?
G: Ovviamente.

Hyo: Ovviamente litighiamo tutti i giorni.
G: No! Mai.
Hyo: Scherzo, scherzo.
K: Anche se litighiamo, il giorno dopo facciamo subito pace.
H: Anche se passiamo così tanto tempo insieme, non litighiamo molto. Andiamo d’accordo. Non credo che ci siano problemi all’interno del nostro gruppo.
- C’è stato qualche episodio divertente sul set di qualche vostro music video, che vi piacerebbe raccontarci?
H: Ieri stavamo girando delle parti del nostro video, e stavamo anche facendo un servizio fotografico. Siccome abbiamo tutti i capelli rossi e ci si nota così tanto, molte persone sono venute da noi e ci hanno chiesto di scattare una foto con loro, e di solito diciamo di si. Però, ieri eravamo così occupati e avevamo poco tempo, quindi abbiamo dovuto dire di no a tutti. Di solito è così, ma quando Yunjun stava facendo la sua parte del servizio fotografico, un uomo ha cercato più volte di attirare la sua attenzione toccandogli la spalla, e Yunjun si continuava a scusare dicendo di essere occupato. Alla fine l’uomo gli ha chiesto se poteva scattare una foto del gruppo con cui era. Quindi lui ha scattato una foto per loro!
- Avete qualche progetto per il futuro?
H: Vogliamo finire il nostro tour senza problemi. A marzo rilasceremo un nuovo singolo in Corea, e il titolo della canzone è “Who are you?”, per adesso è quello che abbiamo in programma, non so se cambierà o meno. Inoltre promuoveremo questo singolo anche in Giappone, e a Luglio, speriamo di rilasciare un singolo Europeo. I compositori ed i produttori di questo singolo sono europei, sono molto ben conosciuti in Olanda, sono olandesi. Speriamo che sarà un successo e non vediamo l’ora! Il titolo della canzone è “My baby”.
